And the senate will acquit. Trump could rape a nun on the senate floor and most republicans would praise him for his bold decision to rape that nun.
But it will put those senators on the record saying that Trump's behavior is acceptable, not only for Trump but for any Dem president who comes after him. Their constituents are entitled to that information, and the best the Dems can do is make sure they get it. And the voters will take it from there.
