That’s the dumbest logic ever. That’s like saying we shouldn’t make murder illegal because it’s going to happen regardless. There’s absolutely no need for anyone to have a semi automatic rifle. None. There’s no possible scenario where it’s of any utility to anyone that has one. If there’s ever an organized rebellion against some government action that’s perceived as unjust to the gun nuts and they go against the military or police, they’ll be crushed. Red Dawn was just a movie. No foreign power is going to launch some invasion where you’ll be able to mount some sort of insergency against.
