It's assumed a factory will use ANY input if it is cheaper than (mining, farming). That's not "going green".

Going green means the government subsidizing or even mandating (proven case) recycling, making industry suffer a little (BUT NOT CHINA IMPORTS), so that technology improves and discoveries of how to recycle profitably are made.

GOING GREEN NEVER MEANT BENDING OVER FOR THE CHINESE OR APPLAUDING A COMPANY FOR DOING WHAT COMPANIES NATURALLY DO***

(of course if it's a government bailout company with no motivation for profit they aren't going to what money dictates they will do what politics dictate which is to FUCK UP ROYALLY)

Years ago I was told a story about Giant Foods. They had just gotten into recycling and spent money on special dumpsters to bundle all the cardboard they generate at each store. Back then there was a huge market for cardboard because everyone was jumping on the bandwagon. Giant touted their "environmentally conscious" recycling program. They sold their cardboard and made a ton of money. They used that money to purchase 14 diesel powered exhaust spewing tractor trailers.

To go green you have to collect trash and it's best sorted by the trash makers:

BUT U.S. has stopped collecting recycling. Trash services TOOK THE GOVERNMENT MONEY and ran: they never got the materials they threw them away.

At first they put out 1/4 size bins, maybe 2, and the public was told "you could be fined if you don't use them properly". NO ONE DID, the me generation said "so fucking what"

TRASH COMPANIES were only interested in hiring illegals niggas and (fx co) doing fire damage to sorting buildings.

TODAY - SOME TRASH COMPANIES NO LONGER TAKE RECYCLE, the bins are gone and they don't replace them

the 1/4 size bins were intended as a kick start not as an end game ...

it was hoped that "methods" would be developed by trash services (and municipal dump sites) to make customers (YOU) sort (and bag) trash separately an efficiently (without tears) and

MORE AND BETTER SEPARATED TRASH WOULD BE COLLECTED NOT LESS

the idea the county would hire "trash sorters" was NOT what was intended that was first done due to LACK OF METHOD and due to BAD CUSTOMERS who put the wrong things in the wrong bin (which they could be fined for)

DEMOCRATS HAVE BEEN STEALING THE RECYCLING MONEY (ie, in fx co va)

they've been taking the metals (which tax payers SHOULD BE RE-IMBURSED FOR) AND NOT RECYCLING the goods (meaning, even what they do is at a huge loss, they are paying "managers" huge fees for jobs they SIMPLY ARE NOT DOING)

Democrats RAISED TAXES to cover "green processing" at dumps: but they stole the money the prices are still high but they are no longer doing the recycling.
