The Chinese deputy chief of mission in Islamabad tweeted that if "you're in Washington, D.C., you know the white never go" to the southeastern part of the city "because it's an area for the black & Latin."

Since when did whites start going into Southeast DC?? Maybe to buy some drugs?

For those of you who don’t leave your Mom’s basement too often, the Nats stadium is in southeast and so is a big part of Capitol Hill. And the Navy Yard is a major employment center surrounded by high rise office buildings, condos, restaurants, bars, and apartments. That’s also in SE.

SE DC has changed a lot over the years through gentrification. I lived on
Capitol Hill for five years but that was a long time ago and I'm shocked at
the difference. Anything past Sixth and Penn was No Man's Land back then.
