Okay you crazy yokels, there is pry a lot you could look at and go blind BUT I was not referring to your family album/photos, okay? Now read this, it's f'n serious were all in danger...
I should pry start by saying I'm not flat or round earth and find the question unhelpful but with that said has anyone thought about the sun? A ball of gases that are continually released and on fire, a whole planet that just burns and burns and burns forever and ever non stop, right?
And that alone, by itself doesn't seem odd? Unrealistic? And downright confusing. And as if that wasn't bad enough, it also just so happens to be the perfect distance to the earth, right? Because any closer and it would cook us, right? And just a fraction of a measurement further from us and we'd all freeze to death.
And it burns for thousands of years, non-stop, without any damage to itself, the planet, the sun- remains unharmed. How's this possible? What keeps the planet from just disintegrating? How can it possibly refuel itself for thousands of years and beyond? Is there any threat that it could stop burning or run out of gases? Is anyone investigating or studying this because I've quoted everything I was taught about the sun in this article already. I'm sure there's more and I should've started there but this has just been in the back of my mind like a splinter.
Okay kids hold onto your britches for this one. I just Googled 'the sun' and got this:
News Corp is a network of leading companies in the worlds of diversified media, news, education, and information services. Mel B reveals she had sex with Geri and says 'her husband will kill me ..
There's also a Twitter account: @TheSun
and even @Facebook
Well I wasn't expecting the sun to have social media accounts but I guess that anything is possible in the land of greed and the home of the wage slaves. Wow, the sun even has a YouTube account for Christsakes.
Google has been so helpful as usual, I just don't know how to pay them back. Okay, I found the sun's profile on Ron's Spot.org:
The Sun (or Sol), is the star at the centre of our solar system and is responsible for the Earth’s climate and weather. The Sun is an almost perfect sphere with a difference of just 10km in diameter between the poles and the equator. The average radius of the Sun is 695,508 km (109.2 x that of the Earth) of which 20–25% is the core.
Age: 4.6 Billion Years
Type: Yellow Dwarf (G2V)
Diameter: 1,392,684 km
Equatorial Circumference 4,370,005.6 km
Mass: 1.99 × 10^30 kg (333,060 Earths)
Surface Temperature: 5,500 °C
At its centre the Sun reaches temperatures of 15 million °C.
The Sun is all the colours mixed together, this appears white to our eyes.
The Sun is mostly composed of hydrogen (70%) and Helium (28%).
The Sun is a main-sequence G2V star (or Yellow Dwarf).
The Sun is 4.6 billion years old.
The Sun is 109 times wider than the Earth and 330,000 times as massive.
OMG I fucking found it. Holy shit people did you know that the sun plans to eat the earth? And Venus and some other planets too. Here's the scoop:
Eventually, the Sun will consume the Earth.
When all the Hydrogen has been burned, the Sun will continue for about 130 million more years, burning Helium, during which time it will expand to the point that it will engulf Mercury and Venus and the Earth. At this stage it will have become a red giant
Crap boys and girls, I didn't know this, did you? Holy fucking shit Batman, we're at war with the sun. And the sun has it's own social media accounts. And how can we fight against the sun when we can't even look at it without going blind, just like Medusa, huh!
