and a pardon would only prevent him from taking the 5th - he will still be broke and still have to cooperate and testify. Too late for a pardon to save don now.

No. Manny can do whatever he wants now. The loss of his property is a secondary issue.

He can lie, perjure himself... whatever. If Mueller decides to throw charges on him for that, he can be pardoned for that too. If he lies to the feds and the deal is taken off the table, so what? Trump can pardon him.

Personally I think Manny is a bad guy, but his crimes are all shit of lobbyists and dealmakers. No one has shown us anything that has to do with Trump/Russia. (No, Manafort/Ukraine in 2009 is not Trump/Russia 2016)

It will look bad if Trump pardons him, but it's within his rights as executive.

I think there’s more to this deal that they don’t want to talk about. Like keeping others out of prison

Manafort has stipulated the seizures are enforceable criminally and civilly - he will never get any of his property or money back. He has agreed to cooperate fully. If he openly lies under oath it would be more felony obstruction. I dont think Trump would dare pardon someone obstructing on his behalf as a quid pro quo. That would certainly implicate the President in obvious obstruction of justice.

Im not saying it wont happen but it would not help Trump. Recall Mueller only needs Manafort as a corroborating witness as he is far too tainted for a case to stand on his word (especially given the Felonies he is guilty of).

...remember the days when you said 'notingburger' and its all a witch hunt? Its not just that Manafort is talking - he is guilty of multiple counts of Conspiracy Against the United States, bank fraud, money laundering and more. I know to you, a Trumptard this means nothing. To anyone with a brain this is a dark day for the USA and does not bode well for the orange one.

you can read the agreement here

agreement is a ball buster at best it is a 'hope' for a lesser sentence if he proves 'useful' to the prosecution. Fuck, I would be shitting my pants if I were part of the Trump crime family

30 years of investigations that have yielded Bill lying about a BJ. Thats it - 30 years and millions. Donnie has been under investigation a little over a year and half his campaign crew are convicted felons.

read the plea agreement - manafort waived EVERYTHING. No statue of limitations, no money for book deals, cooperation agreement is forever, waives request to change venue if new trial, waives right to an attorney when questioned by law enforcement.

What a deal

how can they make Paul waive his rights? Especially if he is innocent of the crimes for the upcoming trial?

You can waive rights - read the plea he has waved almost all his rights.

It's interesting that Mueller flipped him. Mueller was must of played one hell of a card or Manafort knows Trump will be impeached before he is pardoned.

Or, Manafort realized he was caught dead to rights and there was no rescue coming from Donald Trump. Lol, crook turned rat. Trump richly deserves Manafort and vice versa.

Manafort fucked himself - he was hoping for the home run. Be loyal, go to trial two times and never rat Trump out. Im sure he was betting his odds were better with Trump pardoning him than a plea deal from the start. Unfortunately the long shot didnt come in for Paul. Now his plea deal sucks - possibly the worst plea ever agreed to. It offers nothing but a chance at reduced sentence and only if Mueller likes the tune Manafort sings. Also Manafort loses EVERYTHING he owns. All of it. And no pardon will get his shit back and unless the pardon is for future crimes he is likely to be indicted under the plea after a pardon.

Good things happen to good people. Trump, ur next you fat fuck.

I still can't figure out why Manafort flipped. What did Mueller say that made Manafort forget about a pardon from Trump?

You have to enjoy the way Trump says "Manafort is a great guy and if he tells the truth there is nothing to worry about."

Basically, the same response Trump has given to all the other people like Cohen.

The next statement Trump will be making about Manafort is "Manafort is a horrible campaign manager and he can't be trusted. A big liar."

Manafort is going to jail for the rest of his life. He shouldn't of hid all that money in 31 different companies and 50 bank accounts.
