i know a previous FBI worker, he was a lab worker, very straight up educated person who lived a meager life and won his meager fbi pay (1980's) fairly
the FBI was a small agency that didn't pay allot that ran investigations local police couldn't afford
Bill Clinton signed into law the ability for FAIRFAX COUNTY and others do do shit like spend $1,000,000 investigating a murder for several years - they enabled "any debt goes" laws. No one needs FBI anymore. At the same time FBI became a huge useless organization without a cause except to help siphon off money.
