House Republicans released a proposal Tuesday that would balance the budget in nine years — but only by making large cuts to entitlement programs, including Medicare, that President Trump vowed not to touch.

The House Budget Committee is aiming to pass the blueprint this week, but that may be as far as it goes this midterm election year. It is not clear that GOP leaders will put the document on the House floor for a vote, and even if it were to pass the House, the budget would have little impact on actual spending levels.

in that corporate model, the issue is "who plays king". employees get to vote. but the CEO and corrupt wallstreet and SEC will corrupt the process and prevent the employees from VOTING ON PAY OF CEOS, and by doing so, disintegrate

If employees CAN vote on pay, the issue is if they continually vote to raise their own pay and decrease management pay, this works until pay is equal and still many will want the management jobs (while some not).

However: they want to keep voting to raise pay but are met by facing closure of the company due to not having enough Savings to run the company. Unfortunately many jackasses will always vote for themselves (however illegally - noting in ancient greece the punishment for doing so could be death). But the problem even without that is whether employees can gauge when to stop taking raises - as doing so at the last minute WILL NOT WORK. Give that privelage to a "king" of the company - and he/she will corrupt the decision to hoard company savings and take a GOLDEN PARACHUTE out: POOF - all the savings missing employees don't know what "happened".

So the model of employee owned company being LONG and SURVIVABLE has actually not yet been written: it's still being tried.
