I didnt know there was a rule. The flag part is a rule of course because its a pledge. But its not a pledge including only your God is it. Its a pledge including God in general correct?

Unfortunately the US has never made English an official language. It is only the de facto language of government and business. They had decades or centuries to make English the official language, but now it is too late. If we made English official in 2014, people would see it as reactionary and bigoted.
