In an often-combative retrial of a case that ended in a mistrial in June 2017, and that was the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo era of awareness about sexual assault and harassment, Cosby was found guilty of assaulting Andrea Constand, a Temple University women’s basketball administrator whom he was mentoring. She was 30 at the time, and he was in his 60s. Cosby had argued that their relationship was consensual.
