It's about the same for me. I have a county car and am expected to work outside the office at times. I used to love going on long drives to kill time but they installed a gps in 2013. I can still cruise around some but not like I used to. I get 12 sick days, 20 vacation days and 13 paid holidays. Thats 9 weeks a year all totalled up.
It's all a trade off though, guys like me in the private sector make a whole lot more money. I have just 5 years till I can retire at 57.
