the law of unintended consequences...

I guess the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) thought it was pretty cute they decided to consider the Northwestern Univ. "employees" of the Univ. and therefore they (the students) had the right to unionize and get paid for their "services".

Wait, ready for it ..........?

Seems that by making them employees, the football players (and all other athletes) now would have to pay income tax on the value of their scholarships.

Tax could be $15k to $30k tax depending on the value.

Scholarships are not tax free if the recipient provides services.

HaHaHaHa...can't make this shit up.

Watch and see how many students want to have themselves considered employees now.

Good job, Obozo controlled NLRB.

So, it is the fault of the "Obozo" controlled NLRB, and not the players themselves, who organized together in an effort to unionize, and brought this request to the NLRB

And we need to blame "obozo", huh, and not the player(s) who pushed for the right to unionize?

Really?

Be careful of what you ask for, because you might get it!

No No No........if the NLRB was controlled by conservatives (not union controlled hacks) it would probably have told them "nice try, students....now get back to class"

See the difference ?

Oh, I see the difference.

But, you say probably, and very wisely. Who knows what they would have done, and perhaps they would've ruled the same way, that is, applying the laws/rules of the NLRB to the "request".

But again, why blame "obozo"?

Isn't kind of like getting between a bear and her cubs, and blaming the bear for ripping your head off?

Didn't the players ask for this? And they're not to blame?

Geez, who is crying "victim" here?

I am sure they could put yet another exception in the tax code.
