I'm always perplexed every time I see an article on this. "rights" groups have been trying to get the name banned since the seventies. They've gone to court countless times, supreme court even, spending taxpayer dollars on this and get told to fuck off EVERY TIME. Only reason it's gotten so much press recently is because the Patent office forgot the team's constitutional rights, and had to be put in their place. Only way the name will ever change is if people stop watching the NFL entirely and stop buying things from advertisers. And that will never happen.

There's a band of Asians who decided to call themselves "The Slants" and liberals cried wolf and didn't want them to be able to use the name they came up with FOR THEMSELVES. It went all the way to the supreme court, and the courts sided with the band. That's what opened the door for the Redskins to be able to stick it to the libtards. Funny how liberals want to end inequality and injustice, but spend more time heckling over trivial shit like names and monuments than they do actually creating policies that will help solve actual problems.
