YAHOO FAKE NEWS ON THE BIBLE -- they should really Just Stop producing what they call NEWS

"Study disproves the Bible's suggestion that the ancient Canaanites were wiped out"

Story accredited to Chris Graham from the Telegraph.

Dear Chris, you may want to check in the Book of Judges and elsewhere in scripture before you suggest things like this. The Bible never "suggested" anything of the kind. The Israelites were commanded to wipe them out, but did not succeed in doing so completely.

We live in the age of fake news. Sigh.

As the article reads, God did, indeed command the Israelites to kill certain inhabitants of what is modern day Palestine. In some cases, the Israelites obeyed, in some cases, they did not but held the inhabitants in subjection. BOth the Bible and historians have agreed on that for years.

What happened was precisely what God predicted would happen when the Israelites failed to kill those whom God commanded them to kill: the Israelites mimicked the idolatrous ways of the Canaanites and other inhabitants of what is now Palestine, Israel, Lebanon and Jordan. Historians, Biblical Scholars and Religions Scholars have agreed on this for years.

The only thing "new" in this article is the misrepresentation of what the Bible reads. The Bible does not read that the Israelites killed all of these people. It reads the opposite. It also reads that the Israelites followed the idolatrous ways of these people that they did not kill.

The liberal bias of ya-HOO! is long established and well known. Liberal disdain for the Bible is also well known; at least for the majority of liberals it is. Since the liberals can not disprove the Bible, they fabricate a misrepresentation about it and proceed to "disprove" this fabrication. What passes for liberal "logic" becomes more amazing with the passing of every day.

Fake news?? You must be joking. The bible is just a pack of lies created to control stupid people before laws were created. Thinking that steaming pile of bullshit is the word of some ridiculous god, just proves how fucking stupid you really are. And save your breath telling me I'm going to he'll, because that concept is just as fucking stupid as the idea of someone keeping score on people's lives. And just so you know, I'm not trying to change your mind, I just wanted to highlight how ridiculous siting your meaningless book is. Take your embarassing religion and shove it

I will assume that the first emphasised word is a typographical error or a deliberate misspelling. I do not understand what you mean in using the second emphasised "word" as I suspect you do not. We can pass over those errors, though.

In addition, I can pass over your profanity laced tirade, despite such a schoolyard "debate" tactic's only serving to prove that those who employ it do not have a valid point to make. In addition, said profanity laced tirade shows a lack of respect for someone who chooses to believe in God while an atheist demands respect for his choosing not to do that. That is a textbook illustration of double standards and hypocrisy.

Let us go to what totally invalidates what is supposed to pass for your "argument".

Your response misses the point. The point is that some people are trying to disprove the Bible by "debunking" something that is not in the Bible. If these people succeed in debunking what they state, that is one thing, but it does not serve to debunk or disprove the Bible. All that it does is disprove what they state.

If you want to disprove the Bible, disprove something that actually is in it. Do not state that something is in the Bible that is not; proceed to "disprove" it then draw the conclusion that the Bible contains an "inaccurate" statement.

what does "wiped out" mean? nothing specific except "a fall". (write your complaints in to Socrates, he could clean up this mess of speaking away from one's own intentions to convey knowledge)

is the english translation here correct (is from greek or hebrew?) to begin with?

the History channel (on COX) is relayed by a black owned media company in Maryland who continually run historic rewrites and false news

the black owned History station rarely broadcasts history, infact, and now rarely broadcasts anything educational - same goes for the "science channel" - less and less educational films, more and more gameshow crap

the passage comes from a jewish written bible - and it no doubt means to exterminate a particular region (who had been attacking isreal) not a particular DNA which, due to migration, would be spread about anywhere at that time in various quantaties

using science to question if "the bible is wrong" is one of the surest ways to determine

* the people doing the study are absolutely stupid and didn't earn their degrees

* the study has a Grant due to political family ties, and does not help farming or manufacturing in any way whatsoever - a bunch of xbox kids

fucking Arabs attacked the Holy Fuck out of jews and whites and about owned south europe at times

there's simply no doubt jews at one time were nearly exterminated by Arabs and were acting as bitch slaves, begging to exist as a small colony under arab control - fleeing the very sight of armed arabs whenever they could (farmers could not)

there's isn't any reason why jews at that time wouldn't have taken the chance to prevent they're own extermination

and that's still true today

Since we are on the topic of Hell, if you are posting on this site, it means you died on Earth and are in Purgatory. Your actions on this site will determine whether you go to Hell or Heaven.

it says to exterminate those who are on jewish land won in war who killed jews to keep them off the land: it says nothing about Canaanites specifically as to DNA

Presidential direction on this is CLEAR:

Bush said "no more emu studies - your fired"

Trump said "no more using national forest vacation photos as submitted to the government as research"

the message has been continual and clear: politicians are to stop using the college system as a way for communists to funnel money and a way for political families to increase their family tree at the expense of others

Hate to be the first one to break it to you, but Mary really wasn't a virgin.

No one is discussing Mary's being a virgin or not. What is under discussion is if the Isaraelites killed all the Canaanites, did not kill them and if the Bible states that they did or did not. Christ and Mary would not appear for another 1200-1500 years, depending on whom you ask or whom your believe.

Nope.

I am happy that you believe you have the key to so some swanky country club after-life. It gives meaning to your otherwise meaningless life.

I for one believe you and I will both be in the same place after we die that we were the day before we were concieved. In other words, lights out and that is it.
