As Safety Precaution US Capitol Police, controlled detonation Capitol Hill

Erratic driver with no license, charged with assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a police officer, reckless driving and driving without a valid permit.

Crashed his vehicle into a squad car.
USCP office taken to hospital with minor injuries, suspect taken to hospital for evaluation.

Capitol was on lock down; for 3 hours in some locations.

After clearing the vehicle through detonating the trunk twice as precaution.
The sweep result was "negative" and "no terrorist motives" are thought to be involved with this incident.
