I would never boo Bush no matter how much he deserved it. I'm just glad he is gone.

If the far-left, hateful liberals (those like Joy Behar) had the class that George W and Barack have in one pinky, we never would have witnessed such horrendous disrespect. They should all be ashamed.

The man was a failure...mentally uninquisitive...dogma driven...he was everything we never want to see in a president ever again.

Time will tell. I believe the democrats were implicit in many, if not most, of the "failures" he is saddled with. Regardless, opinions such as yours do not justify the response the President of the United States got today just moments before he left office. It was tasteless.

I hear that crap all the time. If a waiter does a crappy job, you don't tip him. What recourse does the american public have given the past 8 yrs. Obama already hinted he wasn't going to pursue bush/cheney. I hate that CEO who sink their company fly off with their multi-million dollar packages. The only recourse we have are our voices & votes.

How the hell is that the case? The Republicans controlled Congress from 1994 to 2006. The Republicans gutted the regulations that had oversight over housing loans. People who place the blame solely on Fannie Mae don't understand what Fannie Mae does. They don't know, or refuse to acknowledge, that the head of Fannie Mae from 2005 on, the period where most of the junk securities were purchased, was Daniel Mudd, a die-hard Republican donor and supporter of Bush/Cheney.

Completely disagree, but I'm not going to debate it. Both parties are at fault. But for the record, I think that CEOs that run public companies into the ground while they take home millions, should be stripped of everything ... even their principal residence.

Bush was the CEO of the country. Cheney was his right hand man.

You are not going to debate it because there is nothing to debate. The Dems weren't in power for most of the time this crap was happening. Whatever role they played, it was nothing compared to what the Republicans did.

It was in poor taste and only served to detract from the day.

No, I'm not going to debate it because both sides feel vehemently one way or another and I have wasted way too much of my life on this debate already. I want nothing but success for Obama. I do not think Bush deserves the obscene criticism he has received. That's all folks.

Compared to loosing one's life or a limb...or a head injury...booing and or shoe throwing is a polite comment on his performance. But you are right only time will tell...everything else is merely an opinion...and everyone has a right to one.

Fortunately, it is the right of every citizen of this country to express their distaste or disgust for a public figure. Some would say to condemn any such expression is un-American, but then that gets into a circular argument.

Needless to say, historically, much worse things have been said or done towards an unpopular president in this country.

I respect Bush for the simple fact that he stood for what he believed was right and said "fuck everyone else" not in those words but that was his action. We could not just allow terrorist scum to blow the shit up on our beloved American soil and just stand around with thumbs in our ass while doing nothing. Doing nothing was the worst thing we could have possibly done. Taking the war to the coward scum is the best thing we could possibly do. All those folks who say you hate Bush are entitled to your opinions, but things would be much worse if the terrorists were allowed to just freely blow shit up left and right. Don't hate him for his bad performance. Instead we should love his hate for terrorists.

His hate blinded him from an effective response to the attack. Two wrongs dont make a right...and taking his eye off the enemy and deciding to attack Iraq under the excuse of terrorism...was wrong.

Yeah, well, talking points of the pundits aside, no matter who was president at the time, we would have gone after Bin Laden in Afghanistan after 9/11 no matter what.

You can't really credit Bush for that, other than for his approving the plan and allowing it to be executed.

All of our proper responses to the 9/11 attacks occured because of professionals, whether it was fire and rescue and police on the day of the attacks, or the planners and strategists at the pentagon who planned the near-perfect response to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, to the soldiers who executed the plan and routed the taliban and had Bin Laden cornered in Tora Bora.

All Bush did was pick up a Bullhorn, and later used a pen to approve the plan created by others. Others picked up rubble, picked up survivors and then later, others picked up guns and laser target designators to unleash 2,000 pound bombs on al-qaeda caves.

Then Bush picked up the pen again, and in a stroke, took all those dedicated soldiers out of the fight against Bin Laden and his terrorists and sent them on a quest to invade Iraq, a country we had contained and made impotent through 10 years of sanctions and militarily enforced no-fly zones.

You may disagree, but that is what happened. We were fighting against the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, and Bush pulled the troops out of Afghanistan to invade Iraq.

Did you find fault in my use of "All". Okay, fine. He left the special operations units and small elements of the 101st and 10th mountain division, but for the most part, he pulled division and brigade sized units out of Afghanistan to send to Iraq.
