How is Meade Skelton not talented?

Are they talking about the same Meade Skelton I have heard and seen?
Apparently not!

Aside from having an amazing voice and being a sensational piano player, the man has written over 100 songs and he is highly original and better than anything on the radio today.

Maybe folks are jealous or just don't know talent when they see it.

I am so f---ing sick of Meade's drivel. At first it was amusing, but the idiot only has like 5 things to say and he says them over and over and over again.

Maybe we do need to moderate Off Topic; any posts regarding Meade Skelton, Richmond, the South, etc should be deleted.

Maybe there should be a Meade category. Then all this shit can be moved over there and Meade can impersonate his fan base to his heart's content.

Meade is not talented because his piano playing is sloppy, he has trouble keeping time, and he tries to do this annoying vibrato thing with his voice that he thinks is “country” but really just sounds awful. In addition, he doesn’t play any other instruments well (his guitar playing is horrendous) and his poor song writing is simplistic, repetitive, and juvenile; a reflection of Meade himself.

Nope. Meade doesn’t have any. At least, not for music. I know a number of musicians who are talented and play numerous instruments far better than Meade. Most of them had enough sense to get a day job. Two other things Meade lacks, common sense and a job.

If he applied himself and worked really, really hard he might have a future making pennies as a session piano player or teacher. However, that will never happen because he’s so delusional that he feels he already has what it takes to be a star. Not to mention that those types of jobs would be very difficult for him to land solely based on how socially awkward he is.

Sorry Meade. We’re not a bunch of “Haters”. We are simply pointing out what is painfully obvious to everyone but you. You lack musical talent and your music isn’t very good. Like, at all. It’s okay to dream, but you have to realize when it’s just that, a dream... a nice hobby perhaps, not something to pour all of your time and energy into. Wake up buddy.

Meade is a horrible piano player. He should listen to Elton John, Billy Joel, Jordan Rudess, and Keith Emerson to get an idea of what's possible in a rock context. Listening to classical music and jazz would not hurt him either.

Instead of blubbing all over the Internet all day, he ought to be spending time with Hanon, Czerny, and Slonimsky. When he can sight read every piece in Volume 6 of Bartok's Mikrokosmos, he'll be getting somewhere.

He has a very limited musical vocabulary. "We Talk in Circles" and "Sweet Tea" sound very much the same.
