NABISCO created the Oreo in 1912, but back then it was called the "Oreo Sandwich’" It was renamed the "Oreo Biscuit" in 1921, and by 1948 it became the the "Oreo Creme Sandwich." But no matter what you call it, March 6 is set aside to celebrate "Milk's Favorite Cookie."
There are dozens of varieties of the cream-filled cookie sandwich. The GMW anchors, along with WMZQ's Aly Jacobs, taste tested some of the newest flavors on the shelf.
