Thanks to Donald Trump. I imagine ISIS will have record membership growth as we here in the US experience huge growth in membership of our protective organizations such as the ACLU.
Trump is painting a huge target on us as well as mark of the retard for the whole world to stare in horror at. Its an unusual time. Nothing would please Trump more than a huge attack on our soil to make him a 'wartime POTUS'

Whether strictly ISIS or not, somewhere between 2% - 7% of Muslims worldwide are what would be considered "radical Islamists" who believe that things like bombing innocent persons and attacks for insulting or to protect the image of Muhammad are justified, establishment of a global Caliphate, strict Sharia oppression of women and gays, etc. If you want to take that to those who believe things like that are somewhat justified depending on circumstances then the number will increase greatly.
So, at minimum...
1.6 billion * .02 = 32 million
1.6 billion * .07 = 112 million
That's equal to about 1/10 to 1/3 of the entire population of the US.
There's the reality of your "fractional minority of Muslims."
