The next time someone tells you Scientologists are the most ethical group on the planet, be sure to ask them about Paulette Cooper.
Cooper wrote a book critical of Scientology in the early 1970s. Scientology tried to destroy her, using dirty tricks such as forging bomb threats from her.
Eventually Scientology's campaign fell apart and they entered into a settlement with her.
Make no mistake-Scientology is bad news. They cannot support their claims (e.g., of cures), they lie about Hubbard's background and they employ illegal harassment techniques against anyone they perceive as an enemy.

Scientology tried no end of dirty tricks and spent a pile of money. When it was all said and done, Paulette Cooper was still standing strong. She is a monuument to the fact that Scientology is a malevolent organization.
