HAHA! What good is gold anyway? When the SHTF, are you going to have to shave off a sliver from your brick of gold to buy your food at the farms or the grocery stores? Do you think a $10.00/hour clerk at the cash register at Walmart will be able to micro-measure your gold shavings, look up the exchange rate, and actually accept those slivers?

Maybe you should instead be investing in a good course in bartering. You'll be competing with those flooding the country from North Africa, and I understand that they are experts in bartering for everything they need that they can't get free from the guberMINT.

It's never crashed in all of history because it's scarce , portable resilient and doesn't tarnish .

Countries come and go. Governments rise and fall. Currencies rise and crash.

Gold always trades for anything you need.
