Will snowballs survive in a freezer?

Will these survive until summer? Should I put them in something so the freezer doesn't defrost them or something?

put them in a plastic baggie.

just be careful when you throw them. they WILL be ROCK hard...

Lots of the water will be sucked out leaving more like 'ice balls' like the thinker above suggested, put them in a hermetically sealed plastic bag.
