Once again, the news media, specifically CNN and the police over blow a story

It was just a homosexual lovers quarrel and the cops wanted to shut down all of LA and bring in helicopter gunships and tanks and 5000 SWAT teams. CNN was foaming at the mouth because they thought it was another gun psycho story.

Really. I didn't see the words 'homosexual lovers quarrel' anywhere in that story. It WAS another 'gun psycho story' - what else do you call a guy with a gun who shoots someone in broad daylight on a college campus.
