Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
A few years ago I had some hardwood flooring installed. The workers needed 220v to run their floor sanders and as in just about any household they simply unplugged our drier and used that outlet as a source. The whole family was advised to stay clear of the house for three days to avoid the dust and chemical smell. While no one was watching, a small leak formed from the hose on the washing machine. Over those three days the drip, drip, drip traveled through the floor then through the ceiling of the first floor, ruining both and then onto most of the stuff that had been gathered into that room (as it was the only one not getting flooring). In all, about $12,000 worth of damage. In just three days of drip, drip, drip.
Now my question isn't if the Moreno's had any flooring installed. It's not even if perhaps someone, anyone could have simply bumped the washing machine allowing a leak to occur.
My question is, does anyone know if Michael Basl (aka eesh) was ever in the flooring business?
