I named him earl the squirrel. He is about 5 weeks old. His eyes are still closed and I am bottle feeding him.

Should have let it go or left it alone. It would have survived or not, Nature.

Baby squirrels may be as charming and
adorable as kittens or puppies but don’t be fooled by their cute, cuddly nature
at this young age. A baby squirrel is a
far cry from the adult animal it will become.
Trying to raise a baby squirrel as a
pet can be disastrous for both you and the squirrel.
You will be bitterly disappointed to discover that there
are good reasons they have never been domesticated.

When it grows up it will kill you while you are sleeping and eat your brain. Call animal control now and they will pick it up and kill it later. The law requires that you surrender the animal!

You're breaking the law without a permit.

Once you raise it, the squirrel can be slow roasted with cracked pepper and coarse sea salt. Roast at 350 degrees for 2 hours, and serve with baby white potatoes, a greens salad. Decant a chilled bottle of blush.
