I know why "Donnie Short Fingers" is running for President

I think his decision to run for President was made the night of the Correspondents Dinner when he was embarrassed and eviscerated by the President. I don't remember the year, but I distinctly remember him sitting there, red-faced, steam coming out of his ears...or his...whatever.
Remember, this was the night that the President had just ordered a raid on the compound to take out the bastard that brought down the World Trade Center buildings.
Really, who could blame President Obama for launching some pointed barbs the Trumpster's way? For months and months, Trump had used his media manipulation skills to great use regarding the presidents birth. So much was the crescendo building about President Obama's country of origin that he decided to put the whole thing to rest, "once and for all" (except for the extreme right-wingers who still claim he's a "Kenyan born Muslim terrorist") and release his Birth Certificate. It really was a stroke of genius. "Here's my 'effing' Birth Certificate you sick pricks, and BTW, here's Osama Bin Laden's 'effing' head too!"
And there sat Trump in all his glory, and the President meticulously, and with the comedic timing of Steve Martin, emasculated and eviscerated him. Poor Donald, the laughter of the thousands around him cascading down on his coiffed troubadour head. It was probably one of the few times in Trumps life that he was made to feel "uncomfortable". It must have felt like thousands of shards of sharp glass ripping at his ego. Personally, I think my favorite line from President Obama that night was when he talked about the massive and consequential decisions he has to make, and compared that with Donald having to fire Gary Bussey from Celebrity Apprentice. Pure...Comedy...GOLD!
Now, a normal and mentally healthy person is able to take a good natured "ribbing" and laugh at themselves, but that's not "Donnie Short Fingers". He's a pompous, vindictive, thin-skinned, self-absorbed prick of the highest order. To borrow a great description of Barbara Bush..."that man can HATE!"
I honestly believe that he began to plot his hostile takeover of the Republican Party as soon as the chuckles and guffaws of that night began to wane.
I also don't think that Trump particularly cares about being President. He wants to try to get back at the man who made him a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. His goal is to destroy everything that President Obama has accomplished, and if he has to burn down the country to do it...he couldn't give a shit.
