Carrier Employees outraged by corporate announcement to shift operations to Mexico
Posted by: Gerrymanderer2 ()

Looks like corporations are doubling down on exporting jobs.

The only Republican addressing this is a New York Liberal. What does the Republican Congress in power today plan on doing about this.

Republicans want to lower Corporate taxes so Companies can stay here and still be competitive. Dims, like Obama and Sanders want to raise Corporate taxes, which will force Companies to move overseas. The real question, is what is Obama and/or Sanders (since Clinton will be sitting in a jail cell) going to do to make Corporations want to stay here?

How about no corporate taxes at all and we'll just tax the middle class. What if the people decide to leave though?

People and corporations are free to leave if they choose. The way many have during the last 8 years.

If governments want to keep them here, they will institute policies that make them want to stay. But when you have the highest corporate tax in the World, what do you expect?

This is nothing new. Bill Clinton signing and expanding NAFTA started it. All the regulations and taxes like obamacare that kick in in 2016 sealed the deal. Companies have been fleeing the USA for the last 7 years because of Obama. Even GM moved a Cadillac plant to China after Muslim terrorist gave them a bailout for being a failing business.

It's clear libs hate America and the two old, white, rich, elitist democrat candidates admit it.

True. I think many Dims have gotten the idea that people form Corporations to provide jobs and the gov't can continue to soak them with regulations and taxes with no recourse.

Have any of the Sanders supporter stopped to think about what's going to happen if he is able to raise the tax rate to 90%? Do they really think wealthy people who pay $100's of Billions per year are not going to have a reaction? I guess in some dream world, they think doing that will result in more free stuff for them.

Especially in light of the fact that sanders and Clinton have both recently admitted Liberalism has been a complete failure?

Now sit back and watch the intellectual level of the responses.

Can't address it until you fucks are out of office, so we'll just have to wait (or go broke as a country).

It's not about having no corporate income tax. It's about lowering the tax to a reasonable level where we can compete in a GLOBAL ECONOMY.

You've put in punishing tax rates for businesses and stacks of regulation meters high. Just look at the federal registry. It's over 80,000 pages today.

http://www.federalregister.gov

Some businesses are moving overseas before you altogether put them out of business. Can you blame them?

Take your Hope and Change and stick it up your ass sideways.

You can have a zero tax bud and you still won't be able to compete with third world workers. You're a moron. They would have sent this factory to Mexico even with a zero percent corporate tax rate.

Corporate taxes have little to do with corporate decisions on where to locate manufacturing facilities. The primary determining factors on that are labor costs, transportation costs, infrastructure availability, political stability and government subsidies.

The past few years have been very good for United Technologies - the owner of Carrier. The contractor does billions of dollars a year in business with the federal government.

CEO Gregory Hayes pulled down nearly $10 million in 2014, and over $20 million the year before.

On Thursday, the company reported $7.6 billion in profits, up from $6.2 billion the year before, and $5.7 billion the year before that.

In October, United Technologies even expanded its stock buyback program to $12 billion. Spending the company's money to purchase its own stock elevates the value of its share prices. United Technologies was so flush with cash that it could burn money to boost returns for its investors.

So United Technologies is rewarding its US employees by moving to Mexico and throwing them out of their jobs here in the US.

Do you think Trump's wall could have prevented this from happening?

The GOP Controlled Congress's idea of how to create shovel ready jobs - voting to repeal ObamaCare 50 times, investigating Benghazi 9 times, multiple IRS investigations, Hillary's email, etc.

They haven't passed one job creation bill yet.

It looks kinda like this:

Got it. When Bush was president and had a democrat congress, everything was all his fault. When Obama is president and has a republican congress, everything is their fault. Fool.

In Obama's first two years the democrats controlled the federal government and did NOTHING! No budget, doubled the deficit, largest defense budget in history, trillions in bailouts, purchased privately owned companies, didn't close Gitmo, didn't stop any wars, didn't do anything Obama promised, shoved Obamacare down America's throat and is the biggest piece of failed legislation in the history of the USA.

Libs call this a success, because libs hate America.

It's a no brainer especially with such a strong dollar, you can almost get 20 pesos now to the dollar. You only got 10 pesos during the Bush years.
