A year ago, I thought for sure that the Democratic nominee would be a shoo-in to win the general election. But now, if McCain ends up representing the Republicans, he'll probably win over Obama OR Clinton, the only two Dems with a realistic chance at this point. I think Romney versus Clinton or Obama would be too-close-to-call at this point.

The Democrats really messed up. Clinton is already very disliked among a broad base of people and our country is probably still too racist to elect a black man as its president.

I wish that Mark Warner had thrown his hat in the ring, but its just as well; the Hillary machine probably would have eaten him for lunch.

This brings to mind a question I have had. Everyone says Obama is a black man, yet his father is black and his mother is white. Wouldn't that make him as equally white as he is black? Why is it that mixed race people ALWAYS identify with their minority side?

Because his skin is black and it would sound totally ridiculous if he walked around telling people he was white.

Oh yeah? Then explain why Barbara Harrison on channel 4 who is of mixed race and looks as white as can be claims she is black?

How 'bout he says he is mixed race then? The fact is, people who are of mixed race will always identify with their minority side. It's the trendy thing to do. Also, they will be assured of more support, programs and freebies that way.

You should go post in that Daytona/NASCAR thread.

Odds are Bill Clinton has seen more black ass than Obama, so technically Bill Clinton was our first "black" President.

Will Hillary still be in the race after she is indicted? Some say yes, and would even vote for her.
