Billionaire? Damn, I remember him declaring bankruptcy a few times and I'm not even that old. Or so I tell myself. On a different note G, have you ever once had an opinion that the DNC hasn't told you to have?

I set talking points not acquire them. The DNC sucks balls at being able to control any narrative and setting effective talking points. The left lacks the cohesion and uniformity of the right. It bases its success on policy.

Bet you think thats a DNC talking point too lol.

The left is getting better. What the right has is a power house nationals news outlet that is a veritable propaganda arm. The left doesn't have such coordinated propaganda projection.

My sentiments exactly! You set talking points, and Obama follows you.

And also, the right is facinated with perception. They appreciate it at sieze an oppurtunity when they have facts to support their assertions but because they usually dont they are in the habit of relying on what the daily propaganda piece will be. What the rights response to any given news item will be. This is why Roger Ailes and Rush Limbaugh are so powerful. They are at the top of the rights deceptions pyramid.

Which ones are the nazis? National Social German Workers Party? The thought police? Erasing history and culture for the sake of votes?

You seriously can't look at the path we're going down and be pleased with it because 'my team won'. Makes you no better than Bush and his agenda.

It took a reaction to a national tragedy to address 50 years of use of a rebel flag in the south that gained popularity in response of the civil rights movement.

Thats hardly an effective erasing of history which was conjured up in the recent past.

Think Progress, Media Matters, Talking Points Memo, etc., etc.

The Left has tons of that kind of shit. They're the talking points masters.

That's why you see these idiots all out saying the exact same words at the same time all the time.

All in response to Fox News. Media Matters was created to counter Fox News. All small peanuts in comparison though.

Fox News promotes corporatism. News outlets are coporations. It naturally has a leg up in such a landscape.

The opposite perspective is allowed in a very limited fashion to cash in on the remaining available viewership. You dont hear MSNBC hosts labeling Republicans fascists like Fox News labels Democrats socialists do you?

Gerry, I'll leave you with this, because I had to be at work tomorrow:

A) I wasn't talking about the Confederate flag, but that's how reactionaries think (both right and left) - whatever the issue has been in the last few hours or days is the most important thing in the world.

B) I think people like you because they don't know if you are young/old, male/female, gay/straight, black/white etc etc, you push the issues - not just ones that are personal.

C) I think people dislike you because you push a brand of fascism that you believe is a better form of fascism than the one you are bashing. But in the end you are not about individual freedoms, you're just trying to get the upper hand on a large group you dislike, no matter what the group you like thinks.

Keep on posting - when you make rational arguments with real thought behind them you do make sense. When you rah rah for your team you just sound immature and tired.

Well thank you, I appreciate that. Never let perfection be the enemy of progress.

Media Matters was formed first and foremost to make money for weasel boy. They gave up being objective the first week. Now they don't even try. Not sure how they keep their 501. He came right out and said the other day that they're there to defend Hillary.

The irony in this discussion is who formed your impression of Media Matters.

Which makes no fucking sense when my impression of Media Matters is Brock and Media Matters itself. He's a slimeball. Just looking at his picture makes you feel like you need a shower.

Brock came up with an easy way to get the big money Left-side foundations to pay him a fat salary for employing a bunch of little Gerry college kids to sit around all day trying to nit-pick Fox and push the desired narrative in response. Everything that they put out is slanted and deceptive. Show me any article they produce and I can show you exactly how they've either omitted some information or intentionally presented it in a deceptive way.

Even the more intellectually honest on the liberal side like some at The Atlantic, Salon, Slate, etc., have called them out for being a source of slanted bullshit and talking points. e.g., http://www.salon.com/2013/05/16/sorry_media_matters_no_one_actually_wants_your_talking_points/

The sad part is that you're one of those dumb fuckers who are stupid enough to actually buy into it and believe that it's legit and presenting the "truth." lol

We'll laugh even harder if he wins the nomination. His latest mexican rant has him surging in the polls. That's fucking hilarious.
