How much does it cost to mail this?

3 ounce letter in a 10x14 envelope. Used to send these out regularly for $1.40 before June 1. Since rates went up I've been to the post office twice and was charged different prices. Mailed a third using $1.42 in postage and had it returned insufficient postage. And yes the weight is correct.

I did. All charts I see say starting June 1 it is .98 for the first ounce plus .22 for each additional. Problem is that the post office doesn't seem to follow this.

$1.42 should be the correct rate for a 10 x 14 "Large Envelope" at 3 oz.

How thick is it? For a "Large Envelope" over 3/4" and/or not "easily flexible" and they may consider it a First Class package vs envelope. In that case, it would be $2.54.
