Police are searching for a man who tried and failed to rob a pizza delivery driver in the Lake Ridge area early Friday morning.
The delivery driver, a 38-year-old Woodbridge man, told police he was delivering a pizza to a house in the 3900 block of Sunny Brook Court around 12:30 a.m. When he arrived, a man later identified as Daevon Hullie Carrol Cohen III demanded that he give him the pizza. The deliveryman refused to hand over the pizza without payment, and Cohen opened his shirt to display a handgun in his waistband, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
Cohen left his house before police arrived. Police have obtained warrants charging Cohen, 22, of the 3900 block of Sunny Brook Court, with attempted robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
He is described as black, 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 150 pounds and thin, with long blond dreadlocks and brown eyes.
