>> " In tense email exchanges with Thurmont officials, Delauter has threatened the mayor with legal action, demanded public apologies for a slight to his construction company and excoriated a town employee for being as “arrogant as an old lady waiting on chicken.” Writing from his Frederick County commissioner email account, Delauter also suggested that town leadership eliminate the employee’s position and hand the duties over to a private contractor.
Work performed by Delauter’s construction company on Myersville’s sewer pipes also created tension with the town mayor, who felt Delauter exhibited a lack of respect and a bullying attitude"
yes that is a hack job, with no substance but criticism, to steer work from one contractor to another (probably some spics - but really i have no clue at all about MD) is the most likely motive, and probably traceable is a guess.
that's exactly what anti-defamation is all about
it's just not so that a major paper has no stake or no elevated position in what others see, much the opposite they are often found abusing both - which is why there are media laws
furthermore upon complaint they did not issue his side of the story fair and balanced, instead they acted to fund and issue a yet more cutting and less substance than before
>> "For instance, officials couldn’t get the contractors to provide a timeline for the construction"
obvioulsy that's pre-contract. had they not asked for a timeline, which i doubt, i'd accuse them of not having asked.
still, jurisdiction is by frederick and there is no equity in suits if judges refuse to do equity law in the official law books, line and verse. at that point the matter is outside of court, which is unfortunate. and if the public did see media and favored Delaughter, it would be useless if the courts showed hostility toward some protest.

commerical law is the oldest law i find it comical the news or california says it doesn't exist. i find no pressing reason to beleive them unless they have a police weapon at my head
The point isn't if Delaughter is attempting to quiet the press: much the opposite they are refusing to publish his side of the story fairly, while meanwhile the press did not make a single legitimate contracting complaint.
