With all due respect, the OP has bastardized this story. There is no evidence presented or even speculated the driver was DUI when this accident occurred.
She had a prior DUI conviction from 2010. Now I will agree the number one reason people flee from an accident is because they have been drinking. But as of now, there is no evidence alcohol was a factor in this incident. Get your facts right OP.

Quite often it is simply panic. The natural reaction when things are going bad is to GTFO. It could be alcohol, but I suspect Maryland's finest would have checked for that when she returned to the scene a few minutes later.

Her BAC on the first conviction was .27 as well as marijuana use. .27 is not an occasional drinker, hell im 5'11' 200 lbs and I wouldn't come close to getting there before passing out. Another case of a POS judge giving a license back to someone steering a 4000 lb bullet without regard for anyone else . She better hope at least God has a sense of humor.

It always amazes me that people who spend most of their time parked in front of a computer monitor CAN'T READ. The article say she was charged with possession of marijuana, not use. And the charge was later dropped. Besides, something that happened 4 years ago has no bearing on what happened in this incident. The fact that she returned to the scene 20 minutes later would sort of negate any thought of trying to hide any alcohol/drug impairment.
It's possible she freaked out and made an irrational decision. And it's also possible she was trying to flee but was followed and she had to abandon that plan.

Normally you dont go to prison when you haven't been charged with anything. But seeing that she's white, in Obama's world of justice she will probably get the death penalty.

Its also possible she is just a drunk that killed someone.
