Dude, I am no teabagger, and I have to agree that the new gas cans suck. They leak, are poorly made and break easily. Manufacturers even hate the requirements. You clearly have never used one.

As a Liberal, I hate the cans as well, I have three solutions and have used all of them:

1)You can cut off the spring loaded mechanism in about 20 seconds. Use a crutch tip to seal the spout.
2) You can buy VP racing fuel cans. They are not compliant.
3) NATO Jerry cans with non compliant spouts are also available if you look around

Notice I did not include whining like a little bitch on the list? Also, blaming others who had nothing to do with it doesn't solve the problem either.
