NY,NY CA Fargo conspire: $2 fuel filter now $31

NY city, California ports, wells fargo (notice how many in the area now?)

this small 2"x4" fuel/gas filter used to be the inexpensive things you replace without a thought. like $2 delux or $5 oem.

it goes in import mowers (also generators). they make the imports so you can't use a different / generic filter everyone else uses. only requirement is the fit the fule hose - which should be standard sized (and likely is)

these people CLOSED USA FACTORIES telling workers their product wasn't worth it's salt - but were using illegally dumped imports to compare with (priced lower than cost, a rip of of a usa product). Then once the conned usa workers went home: these damn importers want $31 for a $2 - $5 part. the dumped parts also were likely to damage what one used them in and didn't fit. the new part is designed to prevent installation of competing usa parts (or china parts that are copies of usa parts). all of these parts had been made in the u.s.a. in the 80's to early 90's

these companies have intently controlled the market to hit up consumers with FIVE TIMES the price while increasing consumer frustration and impoverishing the USA - for a stock trade kickback

this one is made in china - but is $13. btw the above: when you go to get a cartridge - they'll have changed the model # and won't have any - tell you you need a conversion kit or some junk

this is $8 (use to be $2 - $5) air filter made in usa. same idea. you replace only the cartridge and the housing stays complete. usa also made models where the cartridge was in a jacket and just plugged in fuel host too - were same price i remember and as a kid i remember asking why.

the fuel filters before the "ny,ca,china" invasion of the mid 90's, were the same price and same fashion (two styles, cartridge had metal end), though much smaller, since handling costed the same.

the above air filter had been used in lawn tractors - cheap - easy to replace and even cleanable

look at what they do now: using the style GM / FORD used in cars - EXCEPT specially shaped to prevent other filters from working (and also to make it hell for a homeowner who'd attempt to attempt to make their own)

$21 air filter (again see above - was $2, $5)

hey NY says USA doesn't know shit - that imports are so much cheaper and to compete america needs to get fired

my experience has been china products fill our landfills with crap that was designed to break. didn't work right, fit right, sometimes damaged what you used them for

some china products are good now - yea due to NY,NY helping them out - but they are still designed to break and be unfixable, mostly, the ones shipped to the usa

NY,NY is %50 tax rate, has %0 taxes for the rich, allows illegals, and cheats on stocks

stop listening to their crap talk about knowing business better

not one more factory NY,NY CA fargo

fuck off

so get out of NY's way while they INCREASE production cost (overseas shipping), fire americans, and jack prices up 5x

"they know what they're doing, americhina !"

check this shit out. 100x patents on this. they are all crazy complicated and make for an easily breakable thing. they are from china and at Radio Shack were $5

This is $31

this lamp switch, likely made in late 1800's is still sold, like $2-$5, and can handle all the heat you throw at it: never f'ing breaks

just twist not push BFD

other lamps had blade (push through). this one below came out later. inner design is simple it rotates on a dolly inside. they do break if pushed harshly after a while: but last longer than the china crap ^^^^

tell me about contact time or switch time. we'll have a talk about the (at least) 15 characteristics usa studied in making the moder transistor, and the cost of a single transistor - and why they are use whenever noise is actually a true concern rather than just seedy engineering

and wow are they complicated !

today most (all?) transistors are made in china or japan, due to NY,NY usa factory shut downs

they have changed the characteristics of them, but won't share the data on how they perform - unless your buying tens of thousands of them they "might talk"

total bull shit. they steal our college / factories work with help of ny city - then won't share what they changed. making it hugely difficult for say, some va tech student, to assemble something. poor parts locators, no data on how part is made or parameters. recently it's gotten better (ah, for some, ie gov workers) but it's still bull shit, as far as usa is concerned

> they have changed the characteristics of them, but won't share the data on how they perform - unless your buying tens of thousands of them they "might talk"

They didn't change them, they are just different. Even different runs of the same part at a US factory would have slightly different parameters. Some (poorly designed) circuits relied on parts having particular values (for instance, input capacitance) that really aren't specified but you should design for them. But parts made in a different factory aren't going to have the same stray (parasitic) capacitance values.

Get over it.
