KISS & Def Leppard, Friday, July 25th, 7PM...seats STILL available?

Shitty venue, shitty bands...

That being said, time was in the pre-Internet era these two bands put tickets on sale and they sold out in less than a day. Not enough of us left who were alive when they were in their prime or "remember" how "awesome" these guys are...

For Gods sake man these guys are geriatrics. KISS is down to just 2 originals and they look tired and burned out. Seeing these acts in their current condition is depressing. Id rather remember the 80's

Not sure why by Brett michaels is supposedly furious about this tour and really laid it into both bands on social media this weekend, really mean and nasty comments about the bands and their family members. he seems very hurt and full of venom by whatever they've done to him.

Ya, they rewrote their song to I Wanna Rock N Roll All Night Till 7:30 and Party Every Once In a White.

@"poision": Here's all you need to know about Bret Michaels...I saw him recently being interviewed for one of those "Behind the Music" featurettes on like VH1 I believe...This was his quote and I am paraphrasing...

"There were LOTS of bands in the hair metal/glam metal era and yet...here we are 20 years later and there's only 2 bands left from that era that still around. And that's Bon Jovi and Poison..."

There's so much wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin. Frankly, Bret Michaels is perhaps more well known for his reality TV work then his music at this point. ONLY Bon Jovi and Poison? Far be it for me to come to the defense of a suspect genre of music such as hair/glam but, there's many more bands that are "still around" from that era. Are they selling out 25,000 seat arenas every week now anymore? No...and neither is Poison. In closing, RUSH has been at it over 40 years now...so, you're halfway there, Bret.

And Kevin Dubrow was dead for a week before anyone found him.

I hope Vivian Campbell gets better. He has been battling some health problems.

Both these bands were kidz stuff even in their prime.

Would I pay $80 to drive to Prince William and sit with a bunch of sausage heads watching these geezers do overly choreographed (and probably lip synced) oldies on the Jiffy Lube big screens? Fuck no.

Would I walk to Round Tree park to see them for $20 if I could bring my own cooler?

I think about it...

it was pretty sad, Gene Simmons kept making fun of Def Leppards drummer for not having any arms. that's cruel, and uncalled for. he is one mean-spirited guy, and not funny at all.
