Obama's Dismal Attendance at Veteran Affairs Meetings

As a Senator, Obama skipped 19 of 37 VA committee meetings in the 109th congress. Obama’s attendance record was the second worst of all Democrats on the committee. He attended just 18 of the committee’s 37 meetings in Washington D.C.

The 109th Congress was from January 2005 to January 2007, and did not overlap with Obama’s presidential campaign, which began in January 2007.

But, no doubt, the whole VA crisis is Bush's fault - Obama will not take responsibility for anything.

I'm sure he had other things to do than sit in all the committee meetings.
