SAVOR craft beer/food festival in D.C. in May

One of the best beer events in the country is in D.C. in May; see link. Brewers from all over the country, and gourmet food selected for the beer. Well worth it.

The problem is there's no way in hell you'll get a ticket unless you know somebody.

It's already sold out. In most cases SAVOR is sold out before it is even advertised.

The event is for the top level beer makers, food critics and usually tickets only go to rich friends as favors.
