For every dollar of tax you pay, you should get one vote. If you don't pay taxes, sorry no vote for you.

I have an alternate plan. The government pays everyone to vote. We'll have 100% turnout. If millionaires want your vote, let them pay you to vote. If politicians want your vote, let them include that in their ads. They could set up a vote exchange where people can pool together their votes and put them up for bid.

Seriously though, at one time if you owned property in different jurisdictions you were permitted to vote in each...provided you could make it from one poling location to another. Other than that I don't believe there is an American precedent for multiple votings.

While the idea of requiring you to pay taxes in order to participate in government is a good one, buying votes with money is wrong. The fact that this guy wants to take it from the backroom and make it official is a little offensive. One person, one vote, period.

There's an average of 10 instances of vote fraud nationwide during every presidential election. That's with over 100 million people voting.

Of those 10 or so cases of vote fraud. The majority are always through attempts with absentee voting.

Which means people showing up to vote fraudulently is a risk or crime no one attempts to commit. It literally almost doesn't exist.
