R Presidential Candidate McCain Bitch Slapped By Republicans

According to Republican officials in Arizona, Sen. John “the Maverick” McCain has sided with “liberal Democrats” too many times over the years, and therefore, the Maricopa County Republican Party has voted to censure him:

The Maricopa County Republican Party has voted overwhelmingly to censure Senator John McCain (R-AZ).
Members of the group feel the senator has failed to stand behind the Republican Party's principles and crossed the aisle and voted with Democrats too many times.

Many GOP members are using the term "RINO" to describe McCain, which stands for "Republican in Name Only."

The vote was 1,150 for the censure and 351 against.

I dont know how they expect to govern in a two party system without working with the other side.

Good, fuck McCain. It's about time this nimrod started representing the Republican Party and not his constituents.

Interesting take. His local republican constituents censure him and you seem to think that this is a party over constituents issue. His constituents would argue that McCain picks DC power and politics over Arizona constituents who sent him to DC to represent them. He ran to the right of center in 2012, decrying immigration reform and big government programs (basically he lied to the voters of Arizona about where he stood on issues). Shame on the folks who voted for him not understanding who McCain really was and are now complaining about him.

I'm not up on Arizona politics. Is that his county? Does one county's GOP matter? Is it like saying Fairfax county censors Mark Warner while the rest of the state supports him?

Mccain has had enough of the obstruction political strategy. He actually wants to do stuff and accomplish stuff as a Senator through the normal legislative process. Who would of thought?

Being a Senator in the traditional sense classifies you as a "rino" to the right these days. A bunch of old mean spoiled baby boomers in some irrelevant part of Arizona waved their canes angirily at Mccain in disapproval.

A US Senator is elected by his/her entire state. So every county in that state would be "his/her county".

Yes, your analogy is correct (except for the part you added about the rest of state supporting him, which is not related or known).

It's a shame. The GOP's fearless Benghazi leader is now being described as a "RINO."

Aw so sad... LMFAO at the GOP.

Good McCain is an ass. Why republicans thought he was the best presidential candidate is beyond me. Him and Palin are a bunch of wingnuts.

This. McCains biggest worry at this point is making sure he stays on the inside of the Washington party circle. Hes the perfect example of someone who has been corrupted by Washington from being there too long.

Sen. McCain has been going senile of late. Time for him to retire. He's passed his userful life for the senate. When he goes, hopefully he grabs Sen. Harry Reid's hand too and pulls him out of there too.

These same Republicans that say he's going senile today are mad at us for not making him president over Obama just 5 years ago.
