Legalize gay marriage? Is this all you liberal Democrates care about?

Don't forget amnesty and universal healthcare.

Fast Terry will make a pass at some of these and when he can't get them through he'll blame Republican extremists. Meanwhile, the whole point of having him in office here is fundraising for Hillary in 2016. Sorry libs, but you didn't get the guy you wanted either.

A clever ruse.

It's a great way to keep republicans tied up for months visiting every church in VA to preach how evil gay marriage is.

Meanwhile democrats can get something accomplished in the state in for a change.

That's what you numbnutz get for:

a) Holding a nomination convention instead of a primary;
b) Nominating the Kookster; and,
c) Allowing the Kookster to completely fuck-up his campaign.

Election have consequences, bitches!

When are the conservatives and republicans going to learn that they need to nominate credible candidates?

Fucking republican nominations are pissing me off!

The Kookster lost because:

1. He was outgunned financially by Fast Terry. That's his fault.
2. The national party didn't give him the support they should have.
3. Michael Bloomturd raised over a $1m for Fast Terry.
4. A big time Dem bundler from Texas supported the ballot for third party candidate, siphoning off votes from Cooch.
5. Out of state "progressive" organizations launched a massive attack against him.

What should be troubling for Dems is that he lost by such a narrow margin as he did. Change one of the things above, especially #5, and this could have turned out differently.

But whatever, the damage is done. Coulda woulda shoulda. Time to look to the next election and be smarter about it.

Exactly--terry will run a 24/7 compaign for Mz Hitlery!

Once she's crowned, Terry will be off to DC for a white house job carrying the clintons bags.

Seriously, you must to admit, to yourself at least, that the Kookster was a deeply flawed candidate from the start. It was, therefore, easy for the Mcauliffe campaign and your #5 above to define the Kookster as the extremist he is. Bill Bolling would have cleaned Mcauliffe's clock.

Terry Mcauliffe was AT LEAST as flawed a candidate as the Kooster, so really, his slim margin of victory is not particularly meaningful.

With the insane clown-car of a party that is the GOP, good luck with that!

Knock off the bullshit. Terry is 100 times worse that anything that could have been nominated on the other side.

All he does is prove liberals vote for liberals no matter what but love to lecture about how the other side needs better candidates.

If youre an idependent and voted for Terry well thats moronic as well, there was no one worse than him in the nation for a governors office.

All this demonstrates is that Terry is just making a payback for the votes. Does anyone really think he cares about the LGBT crowd? He just wants to make it appear that he does. The democratic party needs their votes for the next few years.

McAuliffe Fulfills LGBT Campaign Promise

First executive order of Virginia's new governor protects LGBT state employees from discrimination

By John Riley
Published on January 13, 2014, 7:03pm

"Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) was sworn into office in Richmond on Saturday, sparking hope among equal-rights advocates that his position as an LGBT ally may foster incremental changes to Virginia's discriminatory laws.

In his inaugural address, McAuliffe specifically referenced some of the ongoing fights in the commonwealth that pertain to LGBT rights, promising that his administration would ensure economic, educational and social opportunities for ''all of Virginia's children – no matter if you're a girl or a boy, no matter what part of the commonwealth you live in, no matter your race or religion, and no matter whom you love.'' McAuliffe also said there is still work to be done ''to ensure that someone can't lose a job simply because they are gay.''

In keeping with that spirit of his address, McAuliffe signed into effect on Saturday Executive Order 1, which supersedes and rescinds an executive order by former Gov. Bob McDonnell that did not specifically protect LGBT individuals from discrimination."

This was the OP'S statement. There's a big different between proposing changing the states marriage laws and an anti work place discrimination executive order.
