They way over paid.

They only dropped about $10 million for Motorola with all of its patents and everything else.

I think they overpaid too. They're up to something, they're either trying to corner the market in some way or planning some new products.

FFXU is the 32,832 most visited site in the U.S. That is not completely accurate, but an with an alexa rank for 32k this site is getting tons of traffic.

FFXU has very good SEO, and is an aged site. I would say it's worth about $20,000 - $25,000.00

Put some adsense ads up, and FFXU would easily bring in $2k - $4k per month.

LOL I wonder who would want to advertise on this site. Porn? Adult toy stores? Reputation management services? LOL

There is probably quite a bit of value in the data collected by the thermostats. While you get obvious things like what temperatures people like and energy usage, you also get (from the "learning" side of the thermostat) their schedules. You could probably interest advertisers in when it would be "most profitable" to display their ads.

you could use the energy usage to decide where it might be cheaper to build a data center -- not only cost of electricity but how much heating/cooling would be necessary.

The reason this site would make a lot is because of the constant refreshing done by its users right? Isnt that an ad hit every time? Or do they need to click the ad?

Adsense will find the advertisers for you. The ads are based off your browsing history. So yes you would see adult toy sites, while gerry would see toyota prius ads.

Those lawyer threads would be real money makers, the cost per click with those keywords are around $2 - $5 PER CLICK!

You must work for the government and not understand numbers. Google paid $12.5 billion ($40 a share) for Motorola Mobility.
