Yesterday I had to use a day of leave time but today the government is CLOSED!

Thank you all so much for this 4 day weekend. I am going to Dennys for breakfast then I will go home, take a nap, get up around 1pm and start drinking. It's gonna be a GREAT day.

Given that this weather event is a "warning" - nearly everything in the metro area should be closed down unless they are involved with essential personnel. In a weather warning event, people who are out traveling on the roads are more of a hindrance to the safety of emergency workers, snowplows, etc.

You must have a shit job. When I have to be off work just piles up and it's waiting for me when I get back. I'd rather go to work because I'll be playing catch up for the rest of the week.

Well, I may check my mail after my nap but I work in a laboratory so telework is not an option for me. Also I work at my own pace and never get backlogged and have to play "catch up". That kind of work environment is for losers.

I work in a complaint department. I help (general public) losers who can't figure out how to scratch their ass with one hand. Tomorrow I'll have a backlog of bitching to catch up with. Wish I didn't have to play catch up but I really need the job.
