Possible Response to Putting Food On the Table & Using Moon For Humanity

Once we know more about the moon, and can use the solar energy resources that can benefit all of us by bringing solar energy to earth via microwave + , innovation and exploration can reduce cost of energy for all of us, poor and middle class.

There is no "magic solution" to creating more quality jobs quickly that America needs and wants.

So, keep on trucking as best as we can now and for future.

Yea, more food on the table, for poor and middle class by innovation and exploration of the Moon and later Mars make sense ?

Sort of an optical illusion because it was travelling up and due east. You could actually see it until it was past Bermuda and at an elevation of about 180,000 feet.

The other part of the optical illusion made it appear that its trajectory arches and drops back toward Earth. That's because the rocket followed the natural roundness of our own planet’s curvature.

If you watch the video from the launchpad, it's astonishing at how fast the thing jumped into the sky, way faster than most rockets like the Space Shuttle. I guess that's because it's a recycled ICBM.

I'm pretty sure the space shuttle was designed to lift off slowly. Even then, the acceleration was near the boundary of what humans can withstand. If a rocket is not carrying humans, it can be designed to accelerate much more quickly.

it was covering a great distance but the angular distance from your vantage point was far more enormous than watching a plane take off nearby.

NASA LADEE UPDATE Today:

Sept. 15, 2013: The LADEE spacecraft is still performing well. The team just completed some initial science instrument checkout tests. The protective covers are still on all of the instruments, so these tests power up and check the instrument electronics. The Neutral Mass Spectrometer (NMS) aliveness and performance tests are complete, and the Ultraviolet-Visible Spectrometer

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/ladee/main/index.html

(UVS) dark calibration test is complete.

I notice NASA still not talking about LADEE "Spinning Too Fast Shut Down" issue. Does anyone know if they corrected that problem yet ?

September 20 From NASA TOday.

Updates

Sept. 20, 2013: LADEE continues in the phasing loops, and is approaching the next critical perigee maneuver early Saturday morning at 4:53 a.m. PDT. The plans for the maneuver have been generated and verified, and backup plans prepared to handle any unexpected events that might crop up during the maneuver. The spacecraft systems are healthy and the trajectory looks very good.

NASA LADEE UPDATE Today:

Updates

Sept. 27, 2013: The LADEE spacecraft is past apogee - the point when it is farthest from Earth - and is headed back toward Earth for a final fly-by on Tuesday, Oct 1, 2013. The last perigee maneuver - when the spacecraft was closest to Earth - was perfect, so no maneuver will be needed during the fly-by. The mission operations team at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., performed a test of LADEE’s medium gain antenna for the first time, and everything looks good. This antenna will be used to transmit science data to the ground, once LADEE arrives in lunar orbit.

Supervolcanoes ripped up early Mars

So it seems that Supervolcanos once existed in Mars and created landscape that was earlier thought to be astroid strike.

What does this mean for future planetary science ?

NASA FIRST BANDICOOT IN SPACE HEADED FOR URANUS UPDATE Today:

Updates

October 4, 2013: The CUREE spacecraft with live Bandicoot is approaching Uranus - and is headed toward landing on Tuesday, Oct 10, 2013. The mission operations team at NASA of India's Sacred Cow Research Center in Calcutta India, performed a test of CUREE's medium gain antenna for the first time, and everything looks good. This antenna will be used to transmit science data to the ground, once CUREE and the Bandicoot known as "Avi" arrives on the surface of Uranus.

Topic 02: Tech Innovators Family Circle Jerk Bandicoot Twin (TIFC Bandicoot Twin) Calcutta India Hub Community

An Affordable Protocol Demo to Strengthen Avi's (the fund raiser, not the Bandicoot in space) Capital at Hometown India. Virtual Teaming focusing on educational music video games, tech development, and “eat and meet” Saturday buffet breakfast event planned linked to Bandicoot Twin Show taping once a month.

Hey guys and gals at Fairfax VA Underground. I need help to get endorsement of community to enable Tech Innovators Family Circle Jerk Bandicoot Twin to follow up on projects linked to NASA CUREE and other Arts and Science topics.

Any thoughtful contributions ?

LLCD__ Next Historic NASA LADEE DEMO__30 Days Out as Planned

NASA's Lunar Laser Communications Demonstration (LLCD)
was originally planned for 30 days out, which is just about now, today or within next few days, if all is well as appeared to be as of October 06th or so , when LADEE started moved successfully closer to the Moon's surface from
Moon Orbit.

We can't get any up to date report from NASA due to the Federal Shut Down, but let us hope and pray that this historic moment of LLCD succesful demo will not be denied to the pubic here in America or elsewhere in the nation for too much longer.

We live in a historic moment with historic opportunities particularly for the high tech biz community here at Fairfax Metro DC hub, if NASA succeeds with LLCD Demo.

The side benefit may be,when all that data is analyzed we will know where and approximately how much "water" is located in the polar region of the moon !

Yea, standby folks on this historic moment in America's science and technology innovations yet to come__NASA's Lunar Laser Communications Demonstration (LLCD)

ORS 3 Launch
Minotaur 1, Wallops Flight Facility LC-0B
ORS-3 is a name of a mission to launch a large number of satellites simultaneously. It is described as an “Enabler” mission for the Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) Office of the Department of Defense. The orbit will be 500 km circular at 40°.5 inclination.

Time is the opening of a three hour window.

The largest payload is STPSat 3 which carries five separate packages of instruments and a retro-rocket that will drop it from orbit at the end ot its life (up to 25 years):
1 - iMESA-R (Integrated Miniaturized Electrostatic Analyzer Reflight), a U.S. Air Force Academy mission designed to measure plasma densities and energies,
2 - J-CORE (Joint Component Research), a space phenomenology mission sponsored by the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) /EO Countermeasures Technology Branch (RYMW) & Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC),
3 - SSU (Strip Sensor Unit), an AFRL Directed Energy (RD) experiment to provide risk reduction through on-orbit testing and operation of a sensor assembly,
4 - SWATS (Small Wind and Temperature Spectrometer), a Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) mission to provide in-situ measurements of the neutral and plasma environment to characterize the Earth's ionosphere and thermosphere,
5 - TCTE (TSI Calibration Transfer Experiment) , a NASA/NOAA mission to collect high accuracy, high precision measurements of Total Solar Irradiance to monitor changes in solar irradiance incident at the top the Earth's atmosphere with TCTE instrument provided by the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics.

Also carried will be NASA's ELaNa (Educational Launch of Nanosatellites) 4 package and further cubesats to a total of 19 satellites. The ELaNa payloads are:

1 - Lunar Orbiter/Lander CubeSat - 1U cubesat, testing software and an imager for an eventual lunar orbiter/lander cubesat that will be sent to the Moon via a launch to geosynchronous orbit, from Vermont Technical College and the University of Vermont,

2 - Black Knight 1 - 1U cubesat from West Point Military Academy under the Space Test Program,

3 - SPA-1 Trailblazer - 1U cubesat to provide proof-of-concept for an Air Force Sponsored bus technology called Space Plug-and-play Architecture (SPA) from University of New Mexico,

4 - TetherSat - a pair of 1.5U cubesats built by the Naval Postgraduate School under the Space Test Program - a tether between them will carry a Direct Current and use interaction with the local magnetic field to provide propulsion in order to raise the orbit by 500 kilometres,

5 - TJ3Sat - 1U cubesat from Thomas Jefferson High School of Alexandria, Virginia that will be used as a broadcast satellite at amateur frequencies, using a phonetic voice synthesizer that converts strings of text to voice,

6 - DragonSat-1 - 1U cubesat from Drexel Space Systems Laboratory of Drexel University carrying a camera, a magnetometer, an accelerometer and seven temperature sensors,

7 - Copper-Cube (Close Orbit Propulsion Plume and Elemental Recognition - Cube) - 1U cubesat from Parks College of Engineering, Aviation & Technology of St Louis University, to be used for infrared imaging.

Details of the remaining payloads to follow.

Update: NASA LADEE LLCD Successfully Demonstrated as reported just now by NASA GODDARD ! WOW ! Go NASA !

(Laser Light Communicatins that has 5 times the download speed than current download from satellite communications)

These lot more data about the moon will be coming to us in the next few weeks to be analyzed by experts, university faculty, students, amateur astronomers, etc located here in Fairfax County VA and elsewhere at Hometown USA !

For example; Soon we may be able to answer how much "water" in the form of ice may be available in Moon's polar region ?

More Conversation: NASA GODDARD Just Reported as follows;

October 23, 2013

LLCD was powered-on, and the signal with LADEE was acquired on September 27th, 2013.

LLCD began to demonstrate the capabilities of laser communications, from the Moon, with the first successful pass occurring on October 18th, 2013.

Check out the NASA Goddard Page for more details as I will be also. Let's have intelligent conversation among us thoughtful people !
