It conerns me that people still buy into the Lincoln myth. The "great emancipator".In his day, Lincoln was a tyrant, who did such things as remove Habeaus Corpus , and instilled The Alien and Sedition Patriot Act. In which citizens were surveyed and interrogated about there "loyalty" to the United States

He commited several war crimes and unethical politcal policies. Along with the subduing of the Habeaus Corpus he was responsible for:

-Starving the townspeople of Vicksburg, Missisippi
-The destruction of thousands of Acres of farmland from the Shenandoah Valley to georgia
-Conscripting free blacks against their will to fight fro the Federal Army
-Reasoning of uncessary high tarriffs
-Restriction and regulation of Cotton production
-Invading states using a military force
-Taking away Sovereignthy of States

Abe Lincoln was no "Hero". He was really a tyrant. Im not saying the slavery issue alone was right, but with all he did, he causes a rift on the nation and many people suffered because of him.

Everyone knows Linocln was a scum bag who gave the South a hard time, but writing the Emancipation Proclimation is the white man's way of saying "hey look, we freed slaves". Also, the GOP just loves to claim Lincoln as their won. He was really a liberal tyrant.

He was an asshole. He ran for Pres on a ticket to send them back to Africa but once in office failed to do so.

1) Vicksburg - Southerners if given the chance would've painted the Confederacy with Lincoln's blood. It's a war...you're down in Vicksburg...you knew we were coming from HUNDREDS of miles away and you couldn't stop us.

2) Destruction of farmlands - Again, it's a war. Lincoln didn't invent the scorched earth policy but he sure roasted up you motherfuckers in the Shenandoah, didn't he? Don't like it...well, again you should've stopped him.

3) Conscripting free blacks - Once again...he's trying to win a war here. If you're not prepared to slit your own mother's throat to win your fight? You're not ready to go to war. If the South had killed all the free blacks before letting them go free? No free blacks to conscript. Now that...is SCORCHING the earth.

4) High tariffs - War can be expensive. You'd hate to lose knowing you could've put more in the cash box...

5) Restricting cotton production - Well, by cutting off one of the South's cash crops, it restricts their ability to generate cash for their war chest. The South wasn't going to get loans from Europe because the Euros disliked slavery more than the most furious abolitionists.

6) Invading states with a military force - The South fired on Federal troops at Sumter. Lincoln gave the South many, many opportunities to back down. He made it clear that if Federal troops were fired upon he would fire back and move to support and reinforce them but, the South wanted to go to war. He was their huckleberry...

7) Taking away sovereignty of states - The South insisted on the continued enslavement of human beings. That's wrong. You know it and I know it. If someone showed up at your doorstep one day, dragged you and your family halfway across the world and then split them up to work manual labor for nothing but enough food and shelter to survive well, you'd want someone pulling guns on your enslavers, too.

Now, I'm not saying that Lincoln was a great President...or a Messiah as that would be Teddy Roosevelt but your facts are simply wrong.
