I do not know what is going on with my local pizza hut.
For the past few months the quality of the pizza has really gone downhill.
Does this look like an acceptable Pizza Hut large pizza to you?
Should I call them and ask for my money back?
Please put a known object like a coin or a key so we can judge the size. That looks like shit. Pizza Hut is/has/always will be way too greasy. It's just gross when the box they send you is so soaked in grease and the thought that you are putting that shite in your body.

When was the last time you ordered food from a chain restaurant and were BLOWN AWAY by the presentation, price and taste? Add to that the fact that these national pizza chains are looking to undercut each other by a buck any which way they can. When you pay $9.99 for a pizza what is your expectation? 'Cause offhand...I'd say for $9.99, you got your money's worth.
Cheap, good and fast don't exist. If you want attractively presented, tasty pizza you're going to have to spend more than that. The national pizza chains do what they do on price-point and then spin it with multi-million dollar ad campaigns that try and convince you they've done all this focus-group research about tasty pizza. It just isn't true. They drive down their costs with cheap, poor quality ingredients that in some cases aren't even food.
Locally owned pizzerias do what they do on quality for the most part. Some are better than others so, it's up to you to ferret that out and get the right balance between price and quality. Lots of good pizzeria threads on this forum...good luck.

I have eaten Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesars, Vocelli etc... and have had my fair share of really good pizzas and my fair share of crappy ones. Its hit and miss in most cases. YMMV.

Google "pizza hut crust". Proper pizza crust is flour, water, yeast and oil but mass-produced pizza dough is full of preservatives and chemicals. I even read where one national chain used chemicals that are typically found in packing and shipping material. Humans have been eating chemicals for centuries...no mystery there. But why eat them if you don't have to?

Someone got their tweets viral when they measured their Subway sub with a ruler in a pic and it didn't measure up to what was advertised. Find whatever the advertised diameter of a large Pizza Hut pizza it and do the same.
The pizza in the ops picture looks like there was zero effort put onto the placement and proportion of the toppings. It is literally a throw and bake mess. That's about as bad as it gets since pizza hut pan dough is factory pre made and only dethawed and poofed on location.
