Obama fails again

What could be worse for President Obama than having a lower approval rating than his predecessor George W. Bush ? It sounds too crazy to be true, but recent polling suggests that embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford actually has a slightly higher job approval rating than Obama. The New York Daily News makes the comparison between the two political figures, noting that in a new Forum Research Poll , Ford has a 42 percent approval rating from Toronto voters. That gives him a one-point edge over Obama’s 41 percent approval rating in the most recent Gallup poll.

LOL I bet Marion Barry has a better rating than Obama as well. Ironic a couple of crack heads score better than the greatest leader the world has ever known.

Doesn't matter, he's not running for re-election. People may not approve of how he's doing but they hate Republicans. He'd put a 100 electoral points on your ass all day.

The reason for the usage of the word may is to put emphasis on the inconsistent importance of presidential approval in a two party system such as ours. Especially with an opposition with worse public approval ratings. They may not approve at the present time of the presidents job performance but whether that percentage translates into elections results is an uncertainty.

If it makes you feel better that the president currently has low approval ratings. Good on you.
