Question about School Zone signs

Does anyone know why some schools are not marked with School Zone signs on the road? Until fairly recently, Terra Centre Elementary School on Burke Centre Parkway was not marked with any school zone signs. I never understood why that was considering BCP is a four lane divided highway. I have also noted that Burke School on the corner of Burke Lake Rd and Burke Centre Parkway does not have any school zone signs. I had just assumed that state law would require all schools be marked with signs. I tried Googling this but did not find an answer.
