It's "Pinay", and that's the tightest rotation I've ever seen in a hurricane/typhoon. That shit's almost scary and we're on the other side of the world...

Best of luck..."Pina" people.

Carl Hiason

That would look good on the Eastern Seaboard of the US.
Cruel but sometimes neccesary.

This Once great country has allowed overbuildind without allowing for major storms. Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina have shown major lapses in the infrastructure. The ocean is a cool place to live until it gets pissed. A storm of this magnitude is just around the corner. You'll find out what's really important in life.

If a storm that magnitude ever approaches the USA I think we should take our chances and detonate a nuke in its eye wall.

U better weaken that motherfucker it will look like a nuke hit after its done. Plus the storm will dissipate the radiation and over long distances and in the water. Shit Fukushima has put more radiation in the water than that could hope to.

Whether it would weaken the storm, I havent looked into it. But when you're looking at certain destruction, what do you have to lose.

Wouldn't that generate so much heat and updraft in its eye that it might actually STRENGTHEN the storm?

Radiate an entire body of water which sustains life rather than lose a few shitheads and shopping malls. Yup, makes total sense.

Typical ScaryGerry logic.

Really? I learned something today. We had a spirited discussion in a war once if the terms were interchangeable. We concluded that if the deceased was shot once he might be dead and twice he would be deceased. So we shot everyone at least twice to make sure they were killed.
Makes sense huh?

I dont think you'll radiate an entire body of water from a single nuke. Do you know how many nuclear tests we've done out in the middle of the pacific on Guam itself?

Just to expose my ignorance (instead of my johnson, for a change)... I thought tornadoes, toilets, and typhoons (hurricanes)spun the opposite way down there.

The latest forecast from the jtwc brings maximum sustained winds up to 196 mph and gusts up to 236 mph. What company makes body bags? Now would be a great time to invest and make some quick cash. Also looks like north viet kong is finally going to meet its maker.

Lol... We have never nuked Guam. The US did a handful of nuclear tests in the pacific proving grounds right after WWII but immediately stopped after realizing the environmental implications of irradiating ocean water. All other tests since have been done in the midwest mostly. Most tests are small scale tests and not full-blown missiles as would be used in an attack.

With the strength and amount of depleted uranium in our highly evolved nuclear weapons today, it would be asinine to predict you wouldn't irradiate a body of water by nuking it. I can't believe I have to explain this to you...

The Philippines is on the north side of the equator.
Tropic of Cancer - counter clockwise
Tropic of Capricorn - clockwise

Lucky for them the waters off the coast are very deep. They would be looking at a tidal surge of 35 feet if it was a Atlantic storm.

10 ft unless NOAA has changed the prediction within the last 3 hours. All I want too see is some pictures, the storm should be making landfall now.

the graphics are better. they know about them and talk allot of shit.

but the storms are weaker. anybody that's been alive for 30+ years would know all the crap they talk about the worst weather ever this area ? total lie if the records don't show it they either comptuer falsified them or they just didn't put it on the record.

is because they are doing more insurance fraud than ever. the storms have been weak a decade or two easy.

-------------------------
fx. co. gov bitches are getting paid to do solicitations about how to avoid earth quakes in fx. horrendous. there was no damage or injuries. but we do have tornadoes. but nah don't tell anybody where!

total fucking lies. no doubt the daughters of polititians handed the american dream (car, boyfriend, condo) for lying, while someone else is literally dying from debt they didn't even spend

pitiful government. pitiful people. do not feel sorry about thinking it. they know. they joke about it.

That would be the best urban improvement those places
could wish for. But then Obama would spend a trillion
trying to rebuild the stick shacks the wind blew over.
insist that we provide health coverage for the
natives and take in all the refugees with their 15 kid
broods.

We have too many fucking Salvadorans and Somalis here now
that should have been allowed to die in their homelands.

The current estimate is 10k dead but I will raise it to 35k +/- 5k dead. You just cant survive a 18 hour long tornado and the pictures of concrete structures flattened like pancakes lead me to my high number.

This storm looks just like a black hole from above. I wonder if Darpa has succeeded in marrying a black hole with a cyclonic storm for cover purposes?
