IT's "MERRY CHRISTMAS" !!!!!!!!! I purposely say "Merry Christmas" to everyone and especially store clerks who are trained to say Happy HOlidays.

He does not feel comfortable in his own Christianity. The issue of a store clerk he will probably never see again saying "Happy holidays" will cause him to doubt the origin of the heavens and the universe and probably cause a black hole to swallow him hole.
Don't feel uncomfortable with your Christianity. It is ok to say happy holidays or Merry Christmas. No one will think less of you either way. I promise.
That being said, me being a poly-theistic pagan, I would prefer Happy holidays and I will say same to you. But, unlike yours, my world will not collapse if that doesn't happen.

Think about that while you're having your little tantrum, insisting that everyone conform to your idiotic idea of what respect your silly religion deserves.
